Built as a nearly 10,000 sq. ft. custom residence, the home was designed for large-scale entertaining while taking full advantage of its exceptional location overlooking the Bow River valley, downtown Calgary and the Rocky Mountains.
Design Factor Homes managed the construction of the residence from the ground up, bringing together the structural, architectural and finishing details required for a home of this scale and complexity.
Among its most distinctive features is the dramatic Guggenheim-inspired glass dome ceiling above the grand foyer. The home also includes an expansive gourmet kitchen with an adjoining sitting area, generous entertaining spaces, extensive custom detailing and a private rooftop deck with a hot tub and panoramic 360-degree views across Calgary.
The property became one of Calgary’s best-known luxury residences when it sold for $11.1 million in 2013, setting the record at the time for the highest residential MLS sale price in Calgary.

The project features concrete walls, custom stone countertops, detailed interior finishes and carefully coordinated trade work throughout the build. The concrete construction adds another layer of durability and structural performance to the home while supporting the overall design.
Both sides of the duplex were privately sold, with each residence completed as a new custom home in Marda Loop.

Lake Sundance Renovation
